Ok. I know I posted about this in another forum, but I'd like to get some help with it. Mainly: unwrapping and animating a mesh that was created in Rhinoceros. I'll post my WIPs here (and in my sig) so that I can get some critics or something. Should I post a wireframe?

If this is in the wrong forum, then I'm sorry. I didn't know.

I don't know anything about modeling but I have to agree.

Alright. I've saved the model as a .3ds file-type. The limbs all have seperate mesh shapes for the different parts (upper arm, forearm, hand, etc.) should I "join" those parts together? I also have no clue how there got to bee a black line going up through the middle of the outfit. My basic question now is... "What is the next step?" (I can handle drawing a texture. but I need to know what to do with this mess first.)

Man, that topology is horrible, I don't even know how you are going to animate something like that.

Anway, considering this is your first time, it's actually not awful. Better than I could do.

@TA: Ok... What do I need to fix?

EDIT: Since you're not being specific, I'm going to assume that you are refering to the main part of the upper torso. I'll try to fix it when I get home.

@hawk: thanks!

HALPS!: I really really, really want to use this in my campaign - but I have no clue how to aminate (or even use the aminatine programs). Now, I know I picked a bad time to request this, but... If you would like to take a crack at aminating this then PM me (so I can send you the .3ds file). I'll be working on the texture 'till then.

LATE EDIT: I still have the Rhino trial, I'm going to use the last of it's saves to figure out this model on my own. If I run out of saves before I finish, then I'll head to Wings3d. One thing though: How do I weld Vertices?
