NewGen Help

I am having a problem with NewGen. I installed it and everything seems to work fine except for a few things with importing and merging. OK, i have a map that im workin on and i wanna put the unit, trigger, ability, and upgrades data from another map onto my main one (other map is where i made a builder for my main map). I exported trigger, unit, ability, and upgrade data to a folder that is in Downloads (for maps) and when i try to merge unit data, it says that i cant. For the others it says that i successfully merged, but when i go to see the abilities i just imported, they arent there!!!! This is the same for triggers and upgrades. If someone can explain to me what im doin wrong or how to fix this i wud appreciate it.
