Hi I'm in search for a tutorial I've read once. But I just can't find it anymoree :/ The tutorial was about using special effects that certain units have. For example a shade (invisible undead scout) has a small ribbon effect. In this tutorial it was explained how to use those special effects without the unit and there was a list of models you could use for that + screenshots of the result. Please help me find it :/ thanks in advanced ;) |

You could use the unit and then set its transparency to 100%. If it has ribbon emitters, those shouldn't fade while the unit's texture does. |

hmmm, that could be it... Would it be possible to remove the skin of the model (overwrite it with... nothing) and use those models as attachment? |

you could even set the geosets to nothing, and would accomplish the same thing in a "cleaner" way. Magos Model Editor might help. |

@alevice: I dont really want to import things that make my map have increased file size. Then I could as well import some other effect. I just thought it'd be a good way that uses (allmost) no space. @rising dusk: Took me quite some time to understand your post :P Well, that's bad :/ But what do you mean by 'not necessarily reliable'? Does it work on no model at all? Or only on some? Or do you just know that both ways are possible but have no idea what case is here at warcraft 3? |

It depends on how the team color is applied on the model. |
