What is it? Orbzorb is a small, mini-game like map. It was made in approximately 2 hours as a "speed map". It is currently on hold. It originated from an idea I had for a relatively simple map where you just used an ability on orbs and it added up points. This is obviously that idea, with the added implementation of a mode similar to the play of pac-man (minus ghosts). The map is "Orb Absorb" because Orbzorb is the name I plan to give to what will be Orb Absorb version 3, seeing Orbzorb is a more bnet-player friendly name. What's the goal? To obtain the most points. The first one to reach the goal value wins. Players points are kept track of in the leaderboard. Orbs spawn around the map every second, but there are various orb types, as you can see below. Each orb gives a different point value when absorbed, including the red orb which gives negative points. =:=:= Green Orbs: 1 point. Blue Orbs: 3 points. Gold Orbs: 5 points. - - - - - - Red Orbs: -5 points. =:=:= Later on I'll modify the game so you can set different goal values, as it is currently set at 100 points. How do you play? When the game starts up, the player in the Player 1 spot will choose the game mode: Standard, or Pacman Mode. In Standard mode you must target the orbs using an ability made to do so, while moving around the map just like you would in a normal game. This is easier because you can pick which orbs to select. Pacman Mode may be more challenging. There is pointing and clicking, but just moving around the map. When you come near an orb you will automatically absorb it, no matter what type. You now have to be careful where you move to because accidently hitting a red orb (or possibly multiple red orbs if they are close enough together) can be costly. In both of these modes the players have access to a "Zap!" ability which briefly stuns the target faerie dragon. How many players? Up to 8 players can play Orbzorb. That means it has 8 players max, but if you really want to, you can play by yourself. Both modes work with 1-8 players so that's not anything to worry about. From personal experience, it's a lot more fun (if you found it fun at all in the first place) with 6-8 people, though. Where can I get it? You can get it at the bottom of this post. I honestly don't plan on submitting it here. It's obviously nowhere near the caliber of other accepted maps, and I realize that. You'll always find the newest, up-to-date version right here. It sucks. Well, leave me feedback on this thread on how I can improve the game! Keep in mind it is essentially a mini-game, and that it is currently on hold. Feel free to look at the map itself in the editor and see how it works, but I doubt you'd want to, since it's GUI, and GUI is lame. |

You managed to type a lot but tell us very little about the map other than it's origins. How does it play? What do you do? Etc. |

Hopefully the "How To Play" section I've added is sufficient, as the game is really really simple. |
