The application of internal and architectural designs in a WC3 map

I was thinking of how applicable is the thought of creating architectural and internal designs on warcraft engine (Like these 3Dmax designs architects and internal designers are required to make, you know the presentations and such which can be very difficult and some times thy pay 3d designers a good some of money to make them).

Well, if you don’t then it doesn’t matter but the important thing is the following:

Warcraft engine doesn’t show detailed shadows and there is no proper light sources, can that be solved somehow?

you can add an omnilight, but it only lights the ground and tints the side of the building its placed on.
But you wont get dynamic shadows to work!
if you dont need dynamic shadows you can paint the shadows onto the material...
The problem is that even if youd trigger the omnilight to go round and round the house, and you model some sort of shadow you'd make longer and shorter through animations and you'd turn it via trigger to simulate shadows they would stick to the ground...
What you could do is make you basic material an animated texture... but that would take quite long to look propper...
