recolors! and filters! and sharpens! bah! yeah, i know that most first skins are recolors :bgrun: |

Recolours are a good way to get into skinning. Try your hand at copy 'n paste, or even better, the real thing, soon. NEVER use filters in skins. They get REAL old REAL fast. Everyone has to start somewhere, and recolouring is a good first step. Now go skin for real. |

Oh, yeah i did SOME effects i used sharpen on the weapons, (obvious) and no offense but i dont really care if pplz dun like sharpen its probably one of my fav. effects so i shall continue to use it. Also what did he mean when he said start to really skin now? i cant do much more except mess with channels (not ready fpr that yet) and i dont have the money to buy the modelling equip..... so if ne1 has spare models i can skin with.... =) ill try it out! |

With skinning for real, i mean making a new texture for the model, instead of editing the existing one. |

Oh, you mean like completely deleting 1, (or erasing) and starting over.... ok ill try it but there is 2 problems, ONE: if i did that (take teh blade master model for example) i wouldnt know where the head goes, where the sword is, where the body is etc. TWO: i cant draw worth a damn until then here is my newest skin (which u all probly wont likem, probably too much sharpening for u) it is called the Warlock Hunter (needs a better name too) but plz give comments/critics on it!!!! ![]() |
