"Nice geomerge there". Lol. Saying that it's bad because of this and that will normally just get minimum response, but say this and the modeller will most likely respond with a lengthy or at least defensive reply. Agree or not? |

Not necessarily. It depends completely upon the art in question. If it is a geomerge, then that is a compliment (depending, of course, upon the implied tone of the 'speaker'). If, however, it is a scratch model I slaved over for hours, then I might take offense. Take me, for example. Geomerging is pretty much the extent of my capabilities. So if someone said that, I'd be glad. |

The word "nice" kind of implies a certain level of scorn, though. I'm no modeler, but I might suspect that they were being sarcastic if someone said that to me, even if it was a geomerge. |

Language is interesting and context is everything. |

the thing is: is it irony or is it menat seriously.... if it´s meant seriously than I would felt honored because that person would have told me than that I made a good model only with the use of the free tools. |

You shouldnt read too much into what others say (in this case type), assume the best in others and if the worst is what thy meant then you just gave them a punch in the face by not getting their insult ( flame, miss!, dame it). |

Well, of course I'm not quite the modeler for WC, so any comment made will generally be taken as a genuine compliment :) This was just an observation. |
