I'm am simply trying to reshape the attached effect (from the war3patch.mpq file) so that the gold coins resemble crystals instead. So, I thought, why not open it up in war3 model editor or vertex modifier and do just that. The problem is all the coins are bunched up in a giant ball and I can't tell one away from the next. Is there some way to hide (or temporary remove) all the other coins, so I can modify them one at a time and then restore them or merge them together at the end, while still preserving the animation. If this is too difficult, or not possible, can someone make me an effect like this, but instead with crystals about the same size as the gold coins. You don't have to create a texture, I can do it myself, but if they could be semi-transparent (just like the coins are) with flickering emitters (like the coins have).
