Battle Standard v0.1A
Gathered in the halls of the Arena, the greatest champions of the world (and some other places...) wait on the sounding of Greatness, of Glory, of Death, of Victory. Here, Demons and Beasts stalk the amongst Fairy Queens; here, Chieftains lounge, Wizards mix exotic and mysterious teas; here, in these ancient halls, fiends, and darker things, perform shadowy rituals amongst warriors of virtue, light and justice; and here, in these halls, wait the greatest warriors the world has ever seen, for death, for glory; Here, you will find the Standard Bearer of the Horde Features: -Simple, focused and engaging gameplay -Along with the melee heroes, many custom heroes in the style of Warcraft III -Hero selection is completely randomized, so every game is balanced and fun -Random rune and tome spawns ensure a new and exciting game every time -Players can select various team oriented game modes for an interesting twist -Game end quality victory cinematics supply players with a sense of achievement and accomplishment -Short, action packed games are followed up by new rounds, no need to remake every time! -Few custom skins, models and icons supply fast loads, order response and seamless gameplay -Basic AI allows players to play whenever they like Gameplay Becoming victorious in Battle Standard is simple and difficult. The victor is the player with the largest count at the end of the game, there are two ways to increase your count -Standard Bearer: The player's count signifies the length of time that the Battle Standard is under his control -Slaughter: Every hero a player slays will increase his count by five seconds Random runes and tomes will spawn around the map during the round, allowing players to improve their standing. Detectors, healing runes, Spirit Link runes, even Tomes of Experience give players that little push they need to climb to the top -Heroes who focus on gathering tomes can quickly become dominant in the arena -Summoners will find a little extra help in combat from Runes of Spirit Link -Invisibility wont protect you here, Runes of The Watcher let players see stealthed heroes for a small amount of time Development Currently, only I am working on this project. -This map isn't protected, and i don't mind people using or changing it, however, letting me know would be nice. Please don't host this on B.Net (yet), people here tend to be capable, B.Net people tend to be fucking stupid. -Any feedback or suggestions are appreciated, anybody can have a good idea! to get someone to really test it, you should work on your presentation of your map a lot. screenshots would do a great deal in here, as you should know. |

i have a question: is this a ffa pvp map or what do you have to do in this map? or does the bearer of the battle standard become the main target for all other players? if it is a pvp ffa, how could a f.e. keeper of the grove ever win against a blademaster? if it is the second thing: are there any items? if no: i could abuse the blademaster's windwalk? and terrain: really ugly :D you need to work on that. your arena size doesn't even fit the minimap size :( |

Many random items spawn for use, only tomes, and runes. The runes which spawn are designed to balance the game, such as Rune of the Watcher and Rune of Spirit Link.... The arena is pretty big considering the winning conditions, the rest of the map is being used to improve the gameplay. So basically a hero arena with a difference? I suggest you make an interactive terrain, e.g. elevators cycling through positions, bridges activated by switches, etc - get creative. And make more than on "map" - let host choose or players vote for which map to play at the start. |
