Players: 1 Genre: Mini-game The idea comes from the Typ'o'Shooter mode in Crimsonland, a 2D top-down shooting game. You must defend yourself from the advancing enemies by typing the words that appear above their heads. Feel free to edit this map as you wish - adding new words, changing spawn times, etc. Devise the ultimate typing challenge to suit your needs. New Update 1.6: -Redid the whole map from scratch -Words are now removed from the pool of possible words, so no two units will ever have the same word -Many new enemies added -Not completed yet (if you play long enough you will find some things that do not work), next version will polish up these things. I'm just releasing this version to keep the thread alive -I'm leaving the old version attached because I'm sure that some people would prefer it. Version History

Tried it. I couldn't kill anything by typing. There was also a: Code:
Divide by zero error in Trig_death_Actions() edit: checked the code, and you have to type them as chat messages... should explain this somewhere in the map. Trying again. Interesting map. A couple things I would change would be that units which require multiple hits, change the word after each hit. Also, if you would give the number of hits remaining a different text colour (aka, white is 1 hit left, teal is 2 hits left, yellow is 3 hits left, red is 4 hits left, etc...) it would be easier to gauge where each unit is stat wise. |

Thank you for your input, I'm updating it now. I'll probably also add some more enemies. Just out of interest, what was your final score? EDIT: About the colour to gauge where the unit is stat-wise, I assumed that all people play with always-on health bars. With this idea I'll be able to do away with health bars completely. |

New version has been uploaded. Your idea of name changing has caused me to make an enemy that automatically changes names. It's good. Thanks again for your input. EDIT: 1.2 is up, featuring lots of new content for replayability. |

Just tried it ..was pretty funny :> hmm at the end screen (24k) it said i gained new abilities ..but the game was over ..so ..?!! wont help me huh ?? and you should stop the spawning of the units at map end... |

The abilities can be used when you play again - it's basically just telling you about them, they can be used at any time. Units do stop spawning at the end... unless you're not playing the latest version. So yeah, play again and try out your new abilities \:D/ |

hmm ....uses it gamecache to save the abilities i can use or what ?? because there was no hint or anything that i could restart the game in the map itself ... and the units did not stop spawning ...it was visible on the minimap that still new units spawned and moved to the bottom of the map. |

The abilities are always enabled, but once you finish the game you learn how to use them. Nothing fancy. So if you start a new game now and attempt to use any of the abilities, it will work. |

May I recommend not having every version ever made of the map uploaded to the first post? It's silly. |

Removing them now. Thanks for the advice. |
