I recently retired from World of Warcraft and got back into the Battle.net Gaming community, I found an old Warcraft: Orc & Humans CD, and was thinking "hey it would be great to make or find someone who made a war3 version of this. I been searching and haven't found anything concrete for war1 or war2 :( I remembered I had a campaign once, but never played it, and searching wc3c, I found you guys and found the old human demo campaign (thx to weg), so I decided to download more about this, but I got kinda confused. Correct me if I am wrong here: You guys (Realm Design) is making a war3 mod, not campaign about Warcraft: Orcs & Humans, but decided to model everything yourself (really cool) and not just use info from war1, but everything from war1 to w.o.w. about the events during the first war. (This is really cool) anything else I miss? So I downloaded the mod version, which I guess is DoCMv10. Thats just a multiplayer demo for one map right? I read the readme, but I seem to messed something up. Quote:
I will say I don't have my war3 in the default directory. When I installed any of my Blizzard games, I changed the directory to "C:\Program Files\Blizzard Entertainment\". Could that effect it? I also seen you have a single player campaigns with the mod, but they are not installed yet or something? I mean you guys had a human Demo, why not add that in the mod? Perhaps as separate download? |

Hey there, That's a typo - it should say to put the map in Warcraft III\Maps\DoC\Multiplayer Sorry about the confusion on that. Anyway, in regards to the human demo - those maps don't actually run right anymore with our current version of the mod. Though, we will be releasing the first three human missions by the end of February with all the updates - such as better quest direction, models, etc. We've pretty much overhauled most of that demo. Hope that helps answer some of your questions :) |
