Guest | I just downloaded the v4.0 editor (or what's available right now on wc3campaigns.com) but somehow I cant make a new map that's larger than 192*192. Ppl told me that UMSWE was supposed to do the job. I dont see what kind of bug can unallow this. ANd yes I searched the threads of this forum but they're kinda old. Is it possible that the new 4.0 version has less freedom?:ggani: |

Guest | i would think more than twice bout a that big map... its LOTS LOTS LOTS of work that it looks good and a freaking long loading time (at editor and ingame) also big maps lag more ... |

Guest | Yes, over 192x192, and you can wind up with tons of problems, and not many of them immediately obvious, but they will be there near close to the completion of the map. As Bloodlust has pointed out, Lag and load time will be a problem. Also freezing games, saving game issues, and a whole lot of other things. I don't recommend it. |

My editor only can create LEGAL maps, blizzard set those restictions on map size for a reason, in-game lag and load times become INSANE if you make illegal sized maps |
