This is a WIP for the Texturing Contest over at THW. Right now it's in the same stage, as I can't think of anything for it. So yeah, drop your ideas here... Hell, I don't even remember what I wanted him to be... EDIT: Update! Not only is he horribly uncreative and very similar to my other shit, but now he's also monotone! ![]() |

Not sure what you were going for either, really. I really dislike the way he has some face wrap, though. I mean, honestly, you've wrapped his head in some pink thing that not only looks weird, but doesn't even make sense! I like the buckles and the strange chest design, though. That kind of jacket is neat. I think he should probably be wearing a different color shirt, though. (You know, that thing that has sleeves) Otherwise you're right, he is a bit monotone. And he still looks like a vampire. :p |

It was supposed to be a helmet... I couldn't think of anything to do for his head (well, I did make his long hair, not sure if I can blend it though. Might try.) The problem is the ugly plate things which can't even be alpha-ed on the portrait. Any idea what colour I could use for his coat? There's already way too much purple/pink on him. And he did turn into a faux Myrtle Corbin on the way. :P Don't think the tiny legs are there to stay though, they look odd... ![]() Oh yeah, and here's the unwrap in case it's of any help. Whoa, what is with the legs coming out of his groin area. I mean, I think I know the look you're going for, but that model totally isn't flattering for the idea. It's a nifty idea, but I just don't think it works! xD Archimonde is tough with his no-alphaness, but we can come up with something here. Let's think. The helmet thing that's pink just isn't working. He needs something else going on there. I really think the hair idea could work. You can't alpha that top thing, but you can make it into some sort of hair thing or you could go for a more styled helmet. See, I think the problem arises from trying too hard to use the pink/purple everywhere. Those shoulder pads, for instance, should be gold and not pink. (Surrounding the team color, which should also get some shading love) That would match the legs much better. Do it for the head too, but have hair on the bottom creeping out of the helmet. Blend the ideas you have together and it'll turn out pretty darned cool. Also, don't be scared to make your gold borders on the jacket and stuff thicker. Shade those borders like you did the gauntlets, it'll look smoother and more regal, which is fitting for him. It'll also help for his overhead spikey coat thing, since right now all that flashy and unshaded team color really goes "Ow" to my eyes. For the legs thing coming from his crotch... You should probably go with some golden, runic (Similar to his boots) loin cloth thingy. Don't make it drag on the ground, I think it'll fit better if it extends about halfway and just brings both legs together. I totally dig the buckles on his torso, they fit great and will go a long way to give him coherence. And actually, come to think of it... Once you get more gold in there where I suggested above, I don't think he'll have too much purple. I totally dig that color blending you've got in the chest area, it's great! You should keep the jacket a different shade of purple as you have now, I think it'll give it some spice in the long run. Oh and his fists -- Just make them fleshy. I think he could use more of that gray on him, and having it on his fists will link his arms to his legs to his chest to him. |

Whoa, what is with the legs coming out of his groin area. I mean, I think I know the look you're going for, but that model totally isn't flattering for the idea. It's a nifty idea, but I just don't think it works! xD Yeah, I was only being desperate and idea-less. :P I don't like the way they look, they're random. Archimonde is tough with his no-alphaness, but we can come up with something here. Let's think. The helmet thing that's pink just isn't working. He needs something else going on there. I really think the hair idea could work. You can't alpha that top thing, but you can make it into some sort of hair thing or you could go for a more styled helmet. Blend the ideas you have together and it'll turn out pretty darned cool. I could make the plates on his head some sort of circlet and leave the hair around his head, might be though to blend with the chest hair and all, but it's worth a try. I did go back to rich red for the coat, like in the first WIPs. The collar is really annoying because it's brighter on the inside, making it mostly black from a back view and not blending with the coat. I could add the golden border on the top of the coat and the collar could be the purple/pink thing, making it look like the shirt continues under the coat and has a collar. Yeah, the legs were just an experiment. I'll definitely try the gold ornaments thing, it's definitely fitting. (That's why I always ask you, you seem to have good crits all the time :P) And actually, come to think of it... Once you get more gold in there where I suggested above, I don't think he'll have too much purple. I totally dig that color blending you've got in the chest area, it's great! You should keep the jacket a different shade of purple as you have now, I think it'll give it some spice in the long run. So, I shouldn't of made it red again? XD Oh and his fists -- Just make them fleshy. I think he could use more of that gray on him, and having it on his fists will link his arms to his legs to his chest to him. I actually just forgot to texture his hands, that's all. :P |

Okay, jacket is purple again and he has a circlet (which I kind of like.) The ears are still to change. That and golden loincloth. |

The front looks much better now. You should put the gold on the shoulder lining next, that'll really tie the colors together. Also, something really seems off on the shape of the jacket. It's a mix of that infinity symbol you used and the way the shading is done. You can probably shape that up and redo that section to be a bit better. Don't be scared to do a bit of embellishment on the cape (even though the wrap blows). I think the shoulders going gold would really do wonders for where it's at now. |

I didn't quite understand what you said about the jacket... Will do the gold lining meanwhile. |

Oh. The jacket just has a weird design and the folds on it seem unnatural. That thing at the top of the jacket, the figure eight, looks rather weird as well. You can probably use some runic designs or quasi-belt gold thingies to make it look a lot cooler. At the least fix the folding, though. |

Not any better, is it? |

The jacket still looks funky with that figure eight thing. Try some sort of big belt buckle thing on his back, I don't know. If I think up anything brilliant for it I'll let you know, but that figure eight doesn't make sense and really detracts from the composition at the moment. |

He needs many small symbols on his cloak in lines (runes on the edges/down the middle). Runes on textures always impress.... and they would look great on this guy... |

Small symbols will be lost in-game. He needs a coherent and significant design for the jacket, nothing small and intricate. |
