Good evening all, and welcome to Wc3c.net! You will notice three major changes after this weekend’s downtime. The first, obviously, is a new domain. Wc3campaigns.net will now redirect to its shortened version, wc3c.net. Secondly, you may notice the site has increased in speed tremendously. This is thanks to our new server as well as our new internet connection to the server. This means faster page loads, faster resource downloads, and faster resource uploads. The third major change is, as you may have noticed, advertising. In order to pay the $600+ bandwidth bill per month, we now need to have some forms of advertising on the site. You may not all be too thrilled about this, however it is a necessary evil for the continuation of Wc3Campaigns. The Directors and I all appreciate your understanding as these changes continue. After such a tremendous undertaking as moving to an entirely new server, there are bound to be a few hiccups along the way. Please be patient with us as we strive to resolve them. Also, as always we ask for any donations you can afford to make to keep Wc3Campaigns alive. At the bottom of every page is a Paypal link, and we would highly appreciate any help we can get! On a side note, I may not post on the forums anymore, but I do check in from time to time and try to keep things running. I personally wanted to say how much I appreciate all of you who have kept the boards alive in my absence over the past couple years, and hope you continue to be a part of our community. Thank you, Tim. __________________ Site Director and Owner of Wc3Campaigns.net |

There's an add that will appear in the middle of threads (you are probably seeing it already, but it is only meant to show to unregistered users, so just give me some time to remove it. |

Anyone can get a server. But a server that can take a lot of bandwidth and also host our gigabytes is another deal. |

I'm logged in and I still see the ad... |

Yup, ad is still there. As long as the ads aren't terribly invasive, it doesn't bother me really. |

The ads dont worry me in the least, im rather appreciative of how out of the way they have been kept, most mods dont bother to put that kind of effort into these things |

Will you guys be grouping the sections again? I liked it when I didn't have to scroll so much |
| 02-17-2009, 02:57 AM | #11 |
Thought I'd point out, since this relevant: Some areas of the site are inaccessible (certain tools, for example), due to "Encoding errors". Soo... yeah. |

That's not related to sections at all, for some time everything was "inaccessible" about a minute ago. |

The server was free, we had an extra one. The bandwidth is $600 a month. |
