So for my project(s), I'm beginning to realize how much I need to conserve space (KBs). More than that, though, I want to avoid the intense hassle of Importing everything I want to use. I'd much rather use a custom MPQ, like Ominous Horizons and some other groups have done. However, I haven't seen any good tutorials around for this sort of thing, and while there are a multitude of tools (WinMPQ, PowerMPQ, some other third thing...), I have no idea where to begin, or what to use. So anyway, in a nutshell, I need to know A: What kind of Tool I need, and B: How To make a 'custom MPQ'; one that would, ideally, replace the default (like "war3xlocal.mpq") and allow all sorts of custom goodies without actually Importing them one by one. Or, maybe I'm way off; in which case, What do I need to do? Thanks in advance. :P |

Wow, EarthFury. Well, thanks; I guess the usage of said programs is self-explanatory (will actually have to download them). Thanks. |
