Question on Old Forum Themes

Hi there, Everyone,

Longtime lurker of Warcraft3Campaigns here. I had a question regarding the site's old themes.

I remember back a few years ago (2005'ish or early 2006?) that Wc3c had a number of really graphically rich themes -- an Orc theme, an Undead theme, and the Night Elf theme. I found that the HiveWorkshop uses the Night Elf theme these days. What ever happened to the other themes? I thought these were amazing works of art -- especially how the graphics created beautiful borders around the tables. Are these images available for tinkering? Being a bit of a vBulletin expert myself, I would love to give it a crack to make these themes available here again.

Any information or advice you can give about whatever happened to these themes, or more importantly, how we might get our hands on those images and bring them back for the community here to enjoy, would be much appreciated thanks!

Those things were severely overrated , that's what happened.

Draco changed the forum system to some very lame thing. Then when Tim took over we had to reconvert it to vB , the themes went missing and all. Although we could easily recover those border stuff, they were a little lame, and CNPs from wc3's interface graphics is not really art. Those things just used space, at least that's what we thought and the reason we didn't remake them.

Thanks for the response, Vexorian.

Any chance that I could get my hands on the border images you guys used for those old themes? I'd like to see if I can tinker with those and put together a proposal for some additional themes, and maybe code an AJAX theme-switcher for WC3C.

Even if you guys wouldn't want to use them here, I would definitely love to experiment with them for layout artwork we might be able to use here.
