I am making an Air Strike Hero D map, where you are flying heros And I was wondering, if i gave them the Cargo Hold ability, Could I use units as items? like have if you build a peasant, for example, when you load it, it has the items effect? Is there a way to do that? Cause I noticed that I could use event unit enters transport, then conditiion, triggering unit unit type/owner etc. But I can't figure out how to get the effect to work. Anyone know how? Thanks. |

well, i don't know the answer to this, but i don't think units get stored like items, i think they get stored where the stats used to be. (sort of bottom center) fr0ggE |

u could kil the unit and make an item, when it is used, it creates the units, but this would make it so the life wouldnt be the same, which shouldnt be hard to get around if there is only one unit that can do this per player... is there? |

Put an item into the transport in order to 'give' the hero the item, then detect them clicking the portrait (unloading the unit) to 'use' the item. Just use whatever spell effects you want on the unloader (give +50 health or whatever). That's actually a really nifty way to handle items for non-hero units....yay! :D *goes off to use that in his next map* It'd be even @#$!ing cooler to edit the unload button so it said "use all items" :D Only thing that might be a problem is load button... would stop it from looking right. But since loading/unloading takes more than 1 ability to get working (or at least it did in beta) maybe you can make it not show up? |
