shallow water

How do i add shallow water like the water in the middle of Twisted meadows. Every time i try and add water it always decreases the terrain height by one.

Advanced, Enforce Water Height Limits. Try playing around with that, see if it helps. Also, you could try going to View and then make sure Water is being displayed. The hotkey for that is 'W'.

Or you can (before you begin terraining) paint deep water over the whole map, then use raise tool to make a lil mountain, plateau that over the map. Then when you use the lower tool below a certain depth water will come up. That way you can have smooth edged water of varying depths- realistic. (not sure if thats what you were asking but :D)
