[Help] Picking To Suit A Theme

In my map, I'm trying to make custom races for a Vampirism-style game based on already existing forest-like creeps.

Currently I'm working on Furbolg Tracker and it's run into a problem - the offensive towers haven't got a suitable model.

Its walls are stones, its got a miniature troll-hut for a wood-return point, a large furbolg-hut for a basic research centre. Now all I need is a model for the towers.

I need the towers to be a few things:
- An existing ingame model
- Have an "overhead" attachment point
- Not kill a computer when 25+ of them are built
- Have a forest-like theme to it

There are several models I've tried:
- Harpy's Nest, I don't like it because it doesn't look very tower-ish
- Ancient Protector, I don't like it because it looks overdone with 25+
- Wisp w/ Entangle buff on the origin, it was a good idea but didn't feel like a basic tower

So yeah, what model would suit a base-defense tower for a Furbolg Tracker?

Woah, that's a really neat idea. :P Thanks.

Umm... Well, without a screenshot for comparison (helps with the imagination, y'know), I'd say:
- mini Orc Watch Tower?
- Watcher Ward (blue Sentry Ward)?
- Skull on Stick (doodad)?

Hmm, I'd probably have to go through the MPQs for something else.
Are you looking for more of a generic tower (i.e. fires arrows, or throws axes/spears), or could it be magical at all (like "furbolg shamanic nature/magic")?

I'm looking for a generic tower so I can have a cluster of 20-30 of them attacking some big-bad guy coming in, paving through walls trying to kill the main furbolg - Kinda like Vampirism.

HOWEVER! I HAVE FOUND AN ALTERNATIVE!

If anybody could re-skin the Murloc Hut's yellowy straw roofing to a LEAFY, GREEN roofing, that'd be acceptable... provided the filesize taken up is less than 50kb. 75 is the ABSOLUTE stretch limit.

EDIT!
Strangely enough Kyrbi0, just before I came here, I tried all of those. The watch tower feels too... orc-ish. The Watcher Ward doesn't feel defensive or offensive (it's an eyeball on a stick) and the skull on a stick seems to death-themed.

EDIT!
If I cannot find anything that'd work or deem anything to work, then I'll do the request in the art section.

murloc hut?

ROFL, i read your post, forgot about it and the thought "Merloc hut!" hmm, i might be able to do it though, shouldn't be to hard, just use render>fiber. or just recolor it.

Well, I've never played Vampirism, so ok...

That was part of my "can it be a Magical tower" question. Because the Watcher Ward (possibly with the "fortified defenses" model attached to the origin) is a perfect magical tower; it could shoot the Mana Flare missile, or a blue version of Demon Illidan's missile...
(the former: Abilities\Spells\Human\ManaFlare\ManaFlareMissile.mdl)

However, if you definitely want a "normal" tower, then that's out of the question. But not for lack of a projectile. :P Think of it like a Serpent Ward (hey, that could work...)

Sorry, Kyrbi0 for missing that part. Also... *points to user title*...

Anyway, I'm saving the wards for special abilities/items and magical towers for late-game super towers.

I don't know Murloc Hut's skins/multiple paths and I can't edit anything. So if it's a composite model, I'd need someone to break it down and apply the forest-y Ashensvale tree texture or that other one, not Sunken Ruins but the other desert-y tree texture.

Ah, then that answers my question.

Since I don't have Photoshop, I can't really help you with reskinning. :( Good luck.

I have decided what I want, so I will be making the request for the new hut.
