Hey, finally after 3 long days I put this tool together. ![]() I know, it is for World Of Warcraft, but some people may want to use this as a reference or so. Get it here link removed. You do need a copy of WoW and a MPQ file extractor. So extract a WMO file ( and its sub files ) run the tool, select the wmo file and it creates a new file with the extension of .MaxModel Open Max, run the script (that can be found in the tool) in Max Script Editor and select the MaxModel file. It creates all the submeshes and links it to there texture hint: extract the blp files for that wmo file and convert it to png, put them in the same dir as the MaxModel file and the textures will show immediatly in 3DSMax as well. A short description can be found on my home page as well Happy modeling T. |

Thnx guys I used to hang around here often, in my younger years Quote:
I don't have time to do much animation, I can do to try some static models if you like, you still need to convert them to mdx, cause I use 3DS Max 2009 now, and I do not know if there are any compatible tools to export models to mdx... |

So did I. Well, I'd have something to ask you, but not right now, I'm gonna first wait for a "certain thing" and then, I'll let you know my request (well, if you want to know it, of course...) The tool seems good, but since I don't have neither WoW nor modeling skills it's quite useless for me, sorry... ![]() |

ty for that link Kyrbio. as for the program, i really don't see any use for it. i haven't yet re-overcome the $40-$80 upfront plus $80 a month part yet. plus, the models aren't really that good. newer games have much better ones. I'm sure some one will find it useful though. also, i believe this is the wrong forum, it should probably be in a sticky (depending on whether uses other then WoW ripping are big enough) in the modeling section |

No problem. Is there a better place to post it (like the modelling forum)? |

the link or this? i already posted the link. and this should have been there because it's modeling related. |

What the hell. This is blatantly against the rules. WC3C does not endorse the ripping of work from other games, discussion of said ripping, or any act remotely similar in nature to either. The rules are clear, and this is in absolute breach of them. Quote:
