The Juggernaut

Hey guys, this is my first model. (Not made, but posted)
Made from scratch in Max 5, 2,5 weeks work on this one.

Unfortunately I got no photo making programs/skills, so if someone wants to texture it, I'll tell you how it should be.

I still need to animate it, but the mesh is 100% complete.

Many, many thanks to jigrael for helping me and kinda-sorta teaching me how to model. Also thanks because of him giving me tips 'n' stuff.

I hope you like it, as I'm still kinda new at modeling.

Vertex count: 671.
Face count: 860.

THAT took you 2.5 weeks?! Man, you are hella slow, not to mention how horrible the unwrap is, it's stretched in all possible ways, and the upper torso looks very deformed/disproportional. Could you post a wireframe?

Yeah, I don't work that much on it and I have a social life.
Where is the Unwrap stretched? If you mean at the head I agree with you, but I actually just wanted it to be fast done as I was thinking I could wait until I got a texture to make it better.

I have a social life and finish my meshes in two hours tops. It's stretched on legs, arms, upper chest, is really odd on the whole torso, cause it looks as if it should be mirrored, but it isn't.
Looking at the topology, it's fine, but chest is still too bulky, compared to the rest of body. Also, look at those shoulderpads, what the? The checker should be all square, where it is a weird rectangle on your shoulderpads, try texturing that and you'll see it's a nightmare. Same goes for the cape. Also, you should learn to pelt map, it isn't hard and is really handy, you can get rid of all those stretches.

> but chest is still too bulky

Really? I don't think it's bulky at all...

> learn to pelt map

Okay, I'll look that up. Is that what you do?

EDIT: So I searched on google for 'pelt map', but it seems that it's only for newer versions of Max... is that correct? Care to enlighten me?
