I am suggesting the font that comes with quite a few pieces of Windows software now, that being Consolas

I don't know. I always find that coding in Wingdings helps me reduce errors.

official Download (shit ...it comes as Installer)

hmm Consolas isnt bad ...but ..hmm ...dunno ...italic text is harder to read than italic "Courier New"-text

hmm..

Courier New > Consolas

Sites shouldn't dictate fonts.

If you want to change the font used by monospace fonts in your browser, go to your browser prefs and set it to consolas. I use "Dejavu Sans Mono"

Sorry to quasi-hijack, but related question:
~~~
Has the font of the site (all text) changed for anyone else over the weekend? All of a sudden, the text is a lot thinner than it normally was (used to look just like over at the Hive). I suspect Times New Roman, but I don't really know.
(I don't particuarly mind; just wanted to know what was up).
Yes, it happened also to me, but strangely only on the laptop. And yes, it IS "Times New Roman"
Yeah, it happened to me too, it's ugly.
It is using your browser's font so if it is ugly, then it is whoever configurated your browser's fault.
What was the font that the site made it before? I'd like to change it.
so..the new font for you is TimesNewRoman ..or the old font was TimesNewRoman ???
I havent noticed anything cause i use Calibri as default font in my Firefox ...
according to the CSS the current font should be your (OS's or browser's) default "sans-serif" font ...
Times New Roman is a "serif" font ...not a "sans-serif" one
I haven't changed it; it changed of it's own accord.
Also, I'm still looking for this "browser prefs", so I can't really change it back yet.
But it happened to (minimum) me, Dusk and Kyrbi0 almost at the same time, so how can it be? Some settings of the site are changed? Because I didn't touch Firefox's config.
So after making the post I decided to make the site use the font set by your local settings instead of imposing a certain font.
