I want to start editing spells, but all the guides say you need to use mircosoft excel, a program wich i do not have, and cannot afford to purchase. What do i do?

There ARE a couple of spell editors downlodable off this very site, but it's much easier to use Excel, IMHO.

Its way too big to download with my puny ol' 56k..
I'm not positive on this, but OpenOffice should be able to open/save .xls files. OpenOffice can be downloaded for free.

I'm very new at spell editing, but I use Notepad and it appears to be working just fine. This came about after trying to use DashinofDeath's spell editor, but that just crashed every time at startup for me.
