WC2-Style Elven Destroyer

Hey all,
Made this this morning for fun and practice. I was always disappointed that the good ol'
Elven Destroyer never made it into wc3 and IMHO the TFT Beta HumanDestroyerShip just
doesn't do it justice. So here's the wc2 Elven Destroyer, modeled, unwrapped and textured
from scratch by me, assigned to the NightElfDestroyer.mdx's bones.

Update: added Team Colour to sails and repaired the hull texture.

Please give credit if you use this model in your map and above all enjoy!

The texture has no path (ie remove the War3MapImported\).

Pretty nice, especially for making it in a day.

Texture looks a biiiiiiiiiiiit stretched. But it's still very nice.

I never played WC2, so I can't really judge if this is how it's supposed to look, but the colors just seem too, uhh, colorful. (I guess the artistic word is too much saturation?)

On its own it doesn't seem out of place at all, but in the ingame screenshot it just sticks out a bunch from the rest of the environment. Meh, it's just my opinion.

The Model is awesome, but if you would attach those Bubbles other boats in wc3 have, it would fit better into

I know wc3 has cartoony textures, but you kind of overdid it.

Great job, Mentat Ammon! (house Ordos 4ever!)

Yes, a model really needed for WC3, and I'm gonna use it (soon I hope), + Rep!

Looks good! The skin could be worked on a bit and on a few places I think it is a bit too wide, but it is a good representation of the Destroyer... ^^

For those who don't know it, here are a few references:

Texture of the hull is pretty awefull and the in-game shadow is gigantic.

Carry on.

Oh right, heh I just got lazy - the shadow is controlled entirely by WorldEdit, this is how it's supposed to look:

And yeah, the texture of the hull is pretty fail, if it's a deal-breaker I'll redo it. Cartoony-ness however is just staying true to the reference.

I like the hull that way actually, it keeps with the theme of WC2 well.

I like the colors, but just darken the red/blue ever so slightly and I think it will fit sooo much better without ruining the charm.

Awesome model and extremely needed for my project.
Also, shouldn't the sail be team colored?

(Troll Destroyer, c'mon?)
