I have seen a few pictures of this "skybox" thing going around and I was curious if thats possible to do WITHOUT making the whole map that way? I just need it for one specific area, which has a theme of a Spirit Realm Garden. Or perhaps if that is not possible, if someone could instruct me on a way to achieve this effect, I would greatly appreciate the help :D |

Yes but how would I do about doing that? Is there a tutoral somewhere I could use? I searched skybox and didn't get anything. and what is an Alpha Tile? |

Alpha Tile. Import it into your map and save it other some texture file that you're using in your map. This will make it so if you save it over, say, "Dalaran Brick" and place the "Dalaran Brick" tile down it will put down a transparent layer. I'd give it to you but I've misplaced mine. Tim. made a thread a long time ago with the file attached, but if you can't find that I'm sure that there are an abundance of people who have it, and know where it is. |

Uh, alphatiles means a tileset with nothing displaying (exporting some tileset, deleting every colour on the .tga and importing that again to shorten it up)... But this wouldnt help you, i guess he got your question wrong... Well, it depends on which programs you are using to make custom models... anmd btw, i have seen some really awesome animated skyboxes somewhere... but i dont know where anymore! Was it the ultimate terraining map maybe? I dunno... |
