I have a mdx->3ds converter, but 3dmax won't open that either. Is there a program that converts an mdx file to .max or .chr? Or is there an easier way to open an mdx in 3dmax? Thanks. |

Guest | Of course there is you're lucky enough to own 3dsmax unlike the poorer people here so you can get pretty much anything for it =P Go to the utilities section of this site and download the 3Dsmax import/export plugins. Shove em into your scripts directory (In the startup folder for Gmax, I don't know about 3dsmax probably the same) and you'll be able to load in your shiny models perfectly. None of the converters work right for me. Animation won't export but I think there is a way to get around it that I'll tell you if you want. |

Guest | I haven't tried it, but if you can export the full skeleton, you should technically be able to convert it to an mdl and copy and paste the geometry. Ask someone more knowledgable than me for further info though. |
