my computer comes with a microphone and a program called sound recorder can iuse that to create sound sets with the sound editor modueale in the world editor

All I can say is it will turn out very unprofessional and may have alot of static..
I suggest goldwave or soundpro or something like that..
but if you want really good recordings...go to a studio...but it's like 100 bucks an hour *unless you know people*

Sound Recorder works fine. I used it for some stuff for starcraft back in the day, and it came out great with no static.
