This map is protected you cannot expect people to test and review a map that is protected 5th or 6th version, after the triggers have been reviewed, is fine, but when you come looking for testing on a Beta map, you will have to have an open version This is not The Hive, theft doesnt happen. Upload an unprotected version so i can give you a full review |

This was pretty fun, i enjoyed it, it wasnt special or amazing, but it was decent and fun. The heroes seemed to be well made, again, not exceptional, but well made. The setup was simple, but engaging, made it easier to get what was going on There were some typos in the death messages, some spaces missing between values some of the abilities seemed... a little ridiculous.. the abilities themselves were fine, but the descriptions were nonsensical, Beasts "intellect strike" was stupid... the ability was fine, but the description could have been much better, for instance Calculated Strike - "Beasts vast knowledge of anatomy and quick mind allow him to take advantage of the slightest of his enemies vulnerabilities. Beast strikes the target in a critical fashion or time, dealing his intelligence in damage" The spawning armies were also boring and detracted from the game. I would suggest spawning a random unit from a list, all named "Xavier Mutant" or "Brotherhood Mutant", or some variation of that name. Give each type a different model and a special ability (an autocast or Orb of Lightening ability) I looked through your triggers. They are nice and tidy, and do the job very well. I didnt look through the ability triggers, they are probably all fine. Your dummies all look like they are good choices and very well made... the Terrain is pretty and does the job, not to detailed, but not ugly... |

How could i incorperate the army force a bit better into the flow of the map? The tooltips are a bit crazy, agreed. I wil change and simplify them, any ideas on how i could maybe increase the fun in the general gameplay of the map? Thank you so much for your input, this what i need to improve the map |

Create a Unit Type variable array (create a "unit type" variable, and check the box titled "array", increase the size to the number of unit types) with X size (ill just say 3 for now, there are tutorials on this) Then use these triggers: Trigger: Trigger: adapt them as needed, in the second one I would use the syntax (Unit Group - pick all units of type (spawn building) ) and then add the Create Unit function to that, like this Trigger: Spawn![]() Conditionsthe map is pretty fun as it is, only these things really need to be fixed I would also suggest adding a better hero selection system, there are many here, check out Rising_Dusks |

Are those triggers leakless? This seems like a really good idea, but what about the military forces, i agree they dnt really flow with the gameplay. Should i rather cycle the random mutant spawns to balance it a bit? Suppose 1 wave has a bloodlust caster and the other a heal caster? and the system is random is this still balanced? But Bloodlust vs Bloodlust isnt very fun, nor is heal vs heal... |

Use balanced custom spells, things like "ice shield" or "pyro hands" for each mutant type, spells that only add a very small bonus and are mostly there to display mutant powers random systems are by definition balanced. There is really no way either side would have an unfair advantage unless there were a bug and do spawn at least three or four randomized mutant types (copy the "spawn" function in the second trigger. Setting it to "create 4" will create four of the same units...) dont even keep the current unit types, they arent awful, but they wont mix with mutants These triggers could probably be cleaned up a little, but ive only ever had problems when i use them to spawn in excess of 100 units at a time... then the game lags for a second |

Ive always imagined "map testing" involved looking at all aspects of a map and suggesting betters ways to do things... |

@holyadvocate: You aren't testing a missile launcher until you press the button. Hopefully, you pointed it away from yourself. :p EDIT@holyadvocate: He's built himself a robot. You could tear apart the robot to see how the parts come together, or you could take the controller and make sure the robot does what it was made to do. |

Map testing is only for gameplay, never request code in this part... And BTW, the triggers you suggested leak locations.... |

So I never had to submit an open version of the map? When I see the name Vexorian I listen. Quote:

I didn't test this out in multiplayer. You need to work on your Tooltips. They need punctuation (as in periods where there should be periods) and capitol letters at the start of sentences. It's not important, but most of the shops out in the field - as well as the Xavier Portals (I only tested the Xmen side) - have a red selection circle/cursor. Xavier's group is comprised of defender's right? What is at the area that they're defending? Also, some of the creep camps (not the waves) still use the Warcraft names, though that's not important. |

Whats the significance of the red selection cursor? Is this a bad thing at all, I havnt even noticed this and thank you for picking it up. Which names units still use the war3 names? Thanks for the added feedback :) |
