A while ago I found an awesome model of a wolfrider without his wolf, but i can't remember who made it, and i was looking around this site for ages. All i remember was that he had lots of custom animations, for example where he jumped off his wolf. Also does anybody know where to find a wolf without rider? edit: from a lower post of mine "No i mean, what I'm trying to do is to make a hero, with the Raider model that can unmount from his wolf ( i got this one vexorian linked it), but with the ability to demerge into 2 units, like the Hyppogryph Archers in melee maps, so when he uses his skill, you can create the Unmounted Raider, and his wolf, then you can merge them again. But i need the model of the wolf without the rider, and the spirit wolf model looks pretty different imo. edit: oh yeah you're right he wouldn't have animations then. So do you know what i did wrong when making the skin for the Timber Wolf? Because i already had the same problem for some Gnoll skin i downloaded from Hiveworkshop, it also showed only the teamcolors but the rest was invisible. I tried the paths Textures\TimberWolf.blp (Like in the Image Viewer) and something like Units\Creeps\TimberWolf\TimberWolf.blp but it didnt work :/" |

I am not sure this is the same raider model you are talking about , but Chriz made one that's incredibly awesome for the second hero contest http://www.wc3c.net/showthread.php?t=102471 |

AFAIK, ther is no "just the wolf". Chriz. just animated the in-game Raider wolf out the wazoo. Actually, the creep Wolf or the Far Seer's summon (Spirit Wolves) are probably the exact same thing. Plus, their's a Wolf creep model. |

so, would it be possible to remove the raider off the wolf to create a new model? I tried before to copy the texture of the wolfriders wolf onto the Timber Wolf skin, but it ended up with an invisible unit with few teamcolored spaces |

Well, sure, you could just remove the Raider (Orc) geoset from the Wolf). But why? Is that wolf any different from the Spirit Wolf (other than the anims, where the wolf just stands still for the Attack)? |

A modified Storm-Earth-Fire sounds something like what your doing (though I don't remember if you can make different units; yes, yes you can). Regardless, I don't know what's up with your re-skinned Timber Wolf. maybe they are very different (at least the UVW Wrap), so re-skinning doesn't work right. I'd post a .. oh wait, you already have. xD Just update your first post with this question; hopefully that will let people know. |

I'm no texture-ist (<- a word?). Also, I can't download stuff from this computer, so help would be a long-time in coming. :P You're best bet is someone else (no offense). |

The wolfrider wolf is just an early version of the Wolf model, your best bet is to use a dark tinted wolf model (set all of the colour settings in the "art" field to 100) or use the dog model, as the dog is also an early form of the wolf |

Yes but it would look strange to have the Raider unmout his wolf, and next to him stands a black wolf that looks different from the one he was riding. I am trying to have a flawless merging and de-merging between the 2 units, like it is with the Hyppogryph and the Archer |

Riderless wolfrider. Oh the irony. |

the raider wolf more resembles the ugly dog critter model than any of those; it and the dog model look like origami. |
