Campaign
Due to random truck shenanigans, I have had to restart...Adventurer's Boon ~~~ Maps: 1 Difficulty: Unknown Style: linear Team: * Sunwarrior25 (me) - story, triggers, terrain, unit placement, object editor duty, cutscene maniac, and overall imports hoarder. 1. Prologue (WIP): Introductory cinematic is introductory. Will also contain a training/practice sequence to allow players to get used to their characters, and a handy-dandy "Interact" ability. 1. Screenshots: 2. The Scout (Not Started): Our heroes will begin their scouting mission into the mountains. There will be a cutscene at the start and end of the mission explaining the story that follows. 3. Stormy Nights (Not Started): (Cinematic) A dream sequence sort of deal, with the dreamer waking up afterwards. 4. The Student (Not Started): A small cutscene will start this mission, followed by some platforming. The player will then lose control of their new hero, to be shown a very special cutscene. The player will then have a new character to control- But not for a while. 5. Build-up (Not Started): (Cinematic) Elsewhere... 6. The Scholar (Not Started): The player finally gets to use their new character, but they can't exactly fight right now. The current goal is to find enough characters to... 7. Taking Aim... (Not Started): (Cinematic) Elsewhere... But closer still... 8. The Adventurer (Not Started): Toil through the jungle to find... 9. The Breach (Not Started): (Cinematic) Story cinematic is story... Wait... that didn't make sense at all! 10. The Interloper (Not Started): Oh Noez! Guys in purple to change the story? 11. The Rescue (Not Started): Get the person and get the fudge out! 12. Pushing Through (Not Started): (Cinematic) I don't seem to have enough of these. 13. Credits (Not even close to started): Why now? Because I can only work on so much at once! I'll probably only be able to work on one or two of these at a time. Should I start in order? Need more information? Then go here. |

Uhmm.... You deserve a response. The terrain looks like it's going good so far, that's nice. Seems a bit complex but simple all in all. The other maps also look nice, just a bit more tile variation would be nice. First Off. Your story is... Blargh Fuck. I can immediately refer to the oldest story that uses this basic theme, someone vanishes and a war is soon to follow. It's happened in history and in The Illiad. Helen of Sparta heads to Troy with it's prince, Paris. The Trojan war begins and how do they win? With the strategic and intelligent Odysseus and his magical Trojan Horse. Might want to elaborate on the story so it isn't some generic war over a missing person. It's a bit different since they don't know who took Liora and simply attack a foe to blame someone. Just my opinion, up to you if it really matters. I don't know if most people would play this for a strategy's sake. If they would, I guess they'd play Melee with others instead of an AI that might fail. Cool that there will be 2 races, different or not, I hope they're special. Good luck, <3 |

-B-Bump-er Cars and a half! If you wanted to know what was in the last two posts of mine - too bad, they're gone. I'd hate to be accused of self-triple-threadomancy. Since no one seems to be interested in this, I'll just keep attaching screenshots 'n stuff without bothering to bump. (gosh, I really do sound like a broken record. Heck! Even that is/was/still is? a regularly used expression). Anyhoo, I'll be working on this project, and then sneaking up on ya with a... BETA TEST!!! (but not now, it ain't ready). ________________________________________ Video project progress report (finished): Wc3 Project Progress Report - 6/12/09 I'll not be updating or bumping this thread. Why? Because it feels dead. If you want to get this out of my head, Then PM me before I get to bed. If I can trust you with project Intel, Or you can help my project go well, Then I'll link you to a special Pastebin, And maybe the team for the win... I hope you liked this chime, It was really hard to rhyme, And it looks like I'm out of time. Watch out for that mime! |

Prologue Map: I've completely changed the story in my head. Why? Albert was too generic for what I'm thinking of. Anyway, this is just the "tutorial" level (if Warcraft 3 ever needed one). Features arrow key movement, and hitting 'Esc' to toggle between characters. Don't worry, mouse clicks still work too (and are much smoother in my case). Stunt Doubles: Consider the above model choices the "beta versions" of the following characters from these pages (left to right): Sir Lady Miranda, that wagon/bull, Alan Greenwich. |

Infinite owls. My bro and his cat. EDIT: Updated the first post with a link to the page on my site (if I can call it that). EDIT2: I QUIT! That's right. I. FUCKING. QUIT. WHY? 1. Not enough interest. 2. I have a ton of ideas, and no way to sort them out, let alone put them to use. 3. That FUCKING GAME CACHE!!!! It confuses THE HELL outta me! EVERYFUCKINGTIME!!! No, there's no way I can finish this before Warcraft 3 dies.... Now... If you'll excuse me, I have a sketch pad to pick up and dust off. |
