Guest | Ok, this probably seems like a noob question, and I've searched in the forums and haven't found the answer.... How do you use an external music in your map?? I've done the import external music thing and even had it play in the editor.. Then I tried the play music theme trigger, but it's not on the list! So how do I activate this? :( |

Guest | ok, I used the play music instead of play music theme and it's there. I guess it was because I was so used to using play music theme to use the internal musics that it didn't occur to try the other one.. like I said.. a noob question.. but now my next question is... if I used winMPQ to put it in my map as something like.. sound/music/mp3music/blahbblah.mp3 will it play it online? Yes, I do realize it will add tons to the map. |

Go into the sound editor and press the "import music button" to import music. YOu'll be prompted to name the music variable. This is what you refer to in your trigger. Having done this, the music will automatically be incorporated into your map without the need the any mpq editing. Btw, due to a bug in WE, if you hit the "test map" button before saving a map (in other words, with the asterisk by the name still) there's a good chance WE will "forget" to include the music when it next saves. So always save before hitting the test map button (or don't use it at all). |
