You're pratically inviting everybody to download the models, and use them as resources in their own maps, and preview them like ![]() and say 'HEY! THIS IS MY MODEL. I MAKE THIS. COMMENT PLSSSSSS' -.- And, why were you surfing that site anyway? It's for people that have no life and wanna check out other people's PROTECTED works. Or, are you a deprotector? |

I always liked the idea behind that model, but the anims left a little something to be desired... Who actually made that? |

Can't believe a noob thinks he can use Jig's model better then it is used in PoC! Yeah, the models should be available publicly, since it's Jig's policy to make then available. At least then some proper credits would be given (I hope...). They really are great models, but shit, I still can't believe that some sob couldn't contact Jigrael and simply ask him... |

Me and a few other hacker guys are taking the wc3edit site down soon. |

That whole idea of having exclusive models or skins is just asking for some moron to steal them without crediting and nobody noticing it. And what's worse, thinking the ultra easy task of extracting the files from a map makes them hackers... Really, all that work designing and making a model just so some kiddie gets that full of himself? If you instead release the model as part of the project, people would legitimitaly use it in their projects, credit (aka advertise) your project, and you will still be able to use it... "Exclusive" art just benefits the rats that steal them. Edit: Were the models meant to be exclusive? I may have rushed in making this post and removing the link, now I can't even look at that link to get context (don't take this as a request to repost the link, that could get you killed) |

Yes, the models were meant to be exclusive, if I'm not wrong. But one of them has been released. The brutal lord |

Their author and original intention are protected by the reputable and respectable modding communities; everyone knows the PoC models are Jigrael's and that they came from PoC. If someone steals them and tries to use them anywhere on this site, they'll get backhanded into oblivion, of that I assure you. Just because someone can and will steal the resources from your project does not mean at all that they shouldn't be private. What you need to do to make it work, first, is to have your project well-enough known (Like PoC already is) to the point where it is protected by common knowledge. Anyways, it's frustrating, I know, (It's happened to me) but don't let it get you down. I hate it, but don't really dwell on the fact that people steal and use private resources from my maps. There will always be some dick that'll do something like that, you can't avoid it. |

there ARE ways to make maps un-deprotectable with certain deprotectors. most people use Xdep i think, and Archangel_tidusx or something like that created a map that couldnt be deprotected. |

There's no way map isn't deprotectable, if wc3 can open and run it, there are ways to "hack" it over. It's just the fact. Good protection? Yes. Absolutely undeprotectable map? Never. |
