Hey all, i've made a model for fun, just 'cause I felt like making it. Its a quilboar champion, the elite force of the quilboar army. At first I wanted it to have 2 axes and Beastmaster anims but it turns out that the Razormane skeleton is... complicated. Unit: Name Suggestions: [ClanName] Champion, [ClanName] Quilguard, [ClanName] Warfrenzy, [ClanName] Warrior. (e.g., Razormane Champion, Razormane Quilguard, Razormane Warfrenzy etc...) Hero: Proper Name Suggestions: Lok Taurenbane, Nak Ramtusk, Aggar the Frenzied, Kuz Ragglesnout, Agathelos Mangletooth, Aggem Razorflank. Name Suggestions: Champion, Quilguard Champion, Quilgaurd Captain, Warfrenzy, Commander. My inspiration was WoW's quilboar mobs by the same names (Champion, Quilguard, Warfrenzy, Warrior). My main inspiration was Lok Orcbane: ![]() I'd like to thank [Ð](Aka Revelion) for his general help on the model, as well as tips and crits. In a later stage I might work on this model a bit more and upload it to WC3C, although I don't think the quality of the model is good enough. Oh, btw, the portrait IS bad, but it works, at least.

Uh... needs a bit of work... not that much though... it's good, anyway. The Thrall armor on this model is quite disturbing IMO... try changing it with a chain mail or something similar, and add some shoulderpads. I don't know what else to say. I really like the head and the flag. And for the portrait... you'd have to use another angle shot... lower perhaps. I'll be watching for further progress BTW :) |

My first intention WAS, indeed, to make him have a chanimal but there is no ingame chainmail'd texture(not the type I want anyways. Shoulderpads WILL be added in a later version of the model, by me and Revelion. Portrait will be changed in a later version. I also plan on changing the animations, though the skeleton is, like I said, well, weird and unusual. |

Wow. I don't have a particular love of Quillboars, but I do love enhancing the races thereof. Nice idea. Is the helmet supposed to cover his head/eyes so much? I mean, I guess the concept does, but it looks like he'd be fighting blind. |

Thanks for your comment(that refers to MP as well). I was inspired by WoW so yes. I plan on making a pack with 3-4 quilboar units, 1 will be that, 1 will be some sort of a caster(I guess) and 1 will be a hero(I suppose). But first I would like to hear enough criticism on this one. Oh, btw, does the armor really looks so bad? Anyways, I won't be modelling tomorrow, as we got the "Yom HaShoah"("Yom HaZikaron laShoah ve-laGvura", in English "Holocaust Remembrance Day" or "Remembrance Day for the Holocaust and Heroism"). |

From what I see from in-game quilboars, quilboars wear no armor at all. So you might have to undress him a bit... OR give him gladiator/grunt style armor so he doesn't look like he is more overdressed than the other quilboars. -Av3n |

Like I said, its 100% insipred from WoW, and in WoW quilboar have anything that the other races have - rogues(daggers), hunters(bows and gunz), warriors(plate\mail armor and heavy weapons) and such. The normal Razormane\Quilboar models looks more like "scouts" to me, light-weighted and can move pretty fast for that reason. I aimed for making a Warrior-like unit. Check out the "View in 3D" feature on those: Lok Orcbane Overlord Ramtusk |

I always miss out on the wow bit ^^. But then a lot of WoW/Some Wc3 stuff are overdressed so I guess it's acceptable. -Av3n |

YAY!!! givegivegivegive??? I thought of this idea too, but didn't execute it. great job, and btw, will try to find a better armor texture Keep it up Edit: found some And BTW add some shoulders using the outlined part far up right to make him less skinny. Personal opinion: no need to change any armor, i like it as it is, but some shoulders (same square shape as the wow model) is needed. |
