mouse scroll settings

As you might know when you play a game of warcraft you can alter your camera angle and distance by scrolling you mouse.

Now my question is related to this function, is there a way to set these settings?
For example allowing you to scroll even closer and having the camera thus closer.

Alter how the mouse scrolls the camera, or alter the camera?

Altering the camera further than blizzard put in as standard.

Example, if keep the angle of attack at a fixed angle, you will allow the scroll on your mouse to virtually zoom in and out on your spot, to this zooming in and out there is a maximal and a minimum range set, that setting is what I want to alter.

You cannot detect mouse scrolling (the turning of the wheel, I mean), and as far as I know there are no settings for this. You can have players scroll to specific camera heights using text commands, abilities, or arrow keys, though.
