It seems that I found a bug with the highly regarded ability "Channel" or I'm just to stupid to configure it the way I would need to :\ That's the problem: When I use my channeling on something else than a unit it doesn't take the right channeling-duration (it seems that the caster only channels one cast-animation-loop). But on units everything works fine. And the strangest thing: After I casted succesfully on a unit I can also channel anything else - without bugs, means with the right channeling duration. Okay that's hard to explain and imagin, so I created a little test map. Just test the ability one time on an item, than cast it on a unit and afterwards othertime on the item. Attention: The ability level have to be at least 2 because of my settings (maybe that's a reason for this bug?! I don't know and I need the ability as it is :( ) |

I think you deleted the Channel ability. |

Posting to Subscribe. May I also mention that, even when I check the box that says "Targetting Image" for this spell, it never shows me the little reticule? (just my own personal problem with Channel, but still on-topic). |

XieLong: I can't get it to work right, either. Kyrbi0: You need to specify the area of effect and make sure that the target is either "Point" or "Unit or Point Target." |

I did "Point target only", but does that require an AoE as well? (it's meant to be a point-target, similar to Shockwave). |

Hmm, why would you need the AoE targeting image then? I don't think shockwave has the targeting image. But yes, in order to get the targeting image, you need to also specify an AoE (how else would it know how big to make the image? =P). |

If I was making an AoE target ability, then sure, I would need to specify the AoE. However, I set it to "Point Target only", and I want to be able to target a point (much, if not exactly like, Shockwave). However, the little "reticule" (the tiny one, where one would normally click a unit/point) does not show up past the command card. It's literally invisible and I have to guess where it is. |

If you want it to have single target indicator, then you'll need to uncheck "Targeting Image." That options basically makes your target indicator an AoE one, thus you have to set AoE radius in order to see the indicator with it. |
