Here, I'll place my scratch made models in progress. Constructive criticism and feedbacks are always welcome. But I'll give the finger towards shitty posts like "texture is shit" and "model looks dull" and spam.


I'll start with turning this...

To do list on the mesh:
- Add a head.
- Fix the proportions a bit (mainly making him look more like a fatty like in the cartoon, plus thicker legs).

For animations, I suppose I'll use the Ogre rig with some additional transfered animations.

Some old unfinished models I've made a while ago that is on hold until further notice

Bloo, from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. Yes, I did it for teh lulz.
Mesh is finished and uses ingame textures, but has no animations. I would learn to animate from BlinkBoy's tutorial at the Hive, but my web browsers refuse to load all his images there (that's why I'm waiting for a HTML document version for it).
I know he makes a weird expression on the model, but that's for animation purpose (so he can make different expressions depending on what animation is played).

An attempt to make a flying nerubian wasp-like female unit. I improvised with the construction of this model.
Head is still incomplete, and I have yet to come up with a good feminine insect face.
Plus she's nameless, and I don't have an idea for a fitting name for this unit yet (Nerubian Stinger? Nerubian Air Diver? Nerubian Princess?).

To do list:
- Fix some topology issues.
- Add wings and legs.
- Complete the head.
- ???????

still, it won't fit in a nerubian environment with a clean white face, so you'd have probably to go for dark blue skin anyway.

Trying to give my 2 cents, hoping they'll be appreciated :P

I am aware about the character, since I like the Darkstalkers games (mainly Vampire Saviours). But I have thoughts of your suggestion, though I'll make the face less humanoid esque. Thanks.

looks like a nerubian jester for me.
it would fit since nerubians are pretty colorfull (in some cases)
and depends more in intelligence or agility than strength.

And before there are some thinks about that "medival clowns"
Jesters were the link between the king and his people and also
the kings (i should say queen since its nerubian) advisor.

Note:
- The stripes on her abdomen will become teamcolor when the model gets converted.
- The white background on the wings will be removed when the model gets converted.
(yeah, I use the primitive transparency method instead of the complicated RGB alpha method)

Hey, that a pretty cool model. There are some stuff in this that are bothering me though.

First of all, I think you have to do something else with the head, i like those spikes in the sides, but the shape of the face is just a boring sphere, dunno if it´s still a wip but that part needs something more done.

There are some unnecesary polies in the chest, more specifically where i think you tried to make boobs. I don´t think nerubians have tits and I´m sure there are better ways to make it look female without those, so they should be removed. You will also gain aditional polies for somewhere else (the face for example :P)

I would also add an aditional articulation to the legs to make them look less like a camera tripod.

New model in progress. It's for Hive's Modeling Mini-Contest #1, where the theme is to make a model that must have 128 tris or less.

Too lazy to make scratch animations for this, so I'll probably use a mount rig with some edits (Mammoth rig and Pack Horse rig seem to be some good candidates).
