Hey, now that we have all this power of spell editing. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of how to detect the casting of spells properly, so we can do all sorts of wonderful things to enhance them with triggers? For those of you that say use order strings, you should know that the order is issued even when your character is out of range for the spell, so it needs additional enhancements. I have an idea of how to do this, and im preparing an example now (involving creating a trigger on the fly to monitor the proximity of the trigger unit and the targeted unit), but i was wondering if someone had some kind of simple way to do this? |

Well I came up with a way to solve this problem, but im not convinced that its the best way, or the most accurate. Still, it works at least. http://www.wc3campaigns.com/forums/s...7665#post87665 |

Man, that is one very nice map, its a shame i havent seen it sooner. Very origional ideas in that, kudos to Kurath. All of the spells and custom abilities were made with items though, except some like in the cenarius boss sequence which are bunches of summoned units. Actually, that might be the route i take if i can't improve upon this casting trigger anymore. It would be much easier for a spell to create an item item that activates a trigger. Thanks bloodlust. |
