Complies with elven anatomy and proportions???

Out of curiosity, I read Jig's modeling tutorial (hehe) and started to model a Blood Elf (yes, the one I was requesting) on gmax, however I'm not sure if it's "anatomically-correct", so I don't want to go on with UVmap etc. until I'm sure about that, hence I need your opinions.

A feedback on other aspects is appreciated too.

the armjoints are really wierd, as if he had spikes there and fears to pierce himself...

the inner of the legs is too straight, you might want to add an edgeloop there!
i think the legs are too long...

you really need to work on your proportions!
maybe look at the original ones and copy their proportions!
(make a pic from wc3viewer and set it as background would help aswell i guess)

I used to take a look at some elven models during some parts of it, but maybe it hasn't helped a lot :)

The crappy paintover time, she comes!

You need to consider muscle and bone structure more, google some refs. Mainly the shoulders and hips are out of place. You should also bulk him up a bit more so that he'll fit next to the other wc3 units, even as a skinny elf. Take a look at the priest or the blood elf worker (ignore the obscene proportions of the head on that one :P) for reference.

Could we get a close-up shot of the head as well? From a distance it looks a little out of shape, but I could be wrong there.

Heh, I'll try but it'll be a pain in the ass (expecially for the hips. No, I'm not joking xD)

neck is to skinny forehead is to wide. necks go straight up, not inward and the head needs to be scaled a little. other then that it's pretty good.

To me it looks like the legs aren't thick enough. They need to be a bit closer together and a bit thicker.
Also, I din't know this when I drew the concept, but I believe that blood elf ears grow up, not backwards/sideways. And they're huge.
As Nuclear Arbitor said, the neck is too skinny, thicken it so that you can see it next to the cheeks when looking at it from the front.

Ok, I'll work on that too. Thanks

I looked for elvish ears when doing that, if you check the Watcher and some other Night Elf units (also the Archer of both races, Sylvanas, Shandris etc.) you'll notice that a lot of elven units has got ears like that. I'll scale them up, though.

Hehe, I guess I got enough feedback now. I'll start tweaking it ASAP.

Ok, the eyes are too far apart, the lips are too wide, the forehead is too short and the nose
could use some more detail. The irises should be vertically in line with the corners of the
mouth and the eyes should be only one eye-width apart. It's hard to explain without a
reference. There are rules for the proportioning of a face, Google is your friend here.

This is a pretty common problem when you're working on a head one half at a time; what
looks to be in proportion is actually too wide when you mirror the geometry. Don't worry,
this happens to me all the time. The trick is to continually check how the mirrored mesh
looks and remind yourself of the rules.

EDIT: There are physiological differences between HE/BE and NE. NE ears are larger and
angle backward, HE/BE ears are smaller and angle up. Just look at the Priest, Blood Mage
and High Elf Archer Portrait

Ok, maybe I'll find some time to work on it tomorrow, wait for the new screens to continue...

the overall proportion is wrong i think..

you see:
normal people are 7 times their heads height high
muscular ones 8

yours is 5
