Fatman WIPs

A model I'm working on. Looking for crafty tips, and nifty tricks. Planned to be a butcher/abomination/thing.

I'm trying to just eyeball the proportions to help my future speed, so if it's awful, definitely point it out.

286 Faces at this point, and I dunno 'bout keeping that face.

EDIT: I'm definitely, happiest about how the back is looking.

He's fat in the wrong places ._.

As seen above, the belly is a bit lower and the mannaries are blergh.

Well, seems the attempt so far has been some total and general fail.

TA, mebbe just a little moar detail?

EDIT: Anyway, some new WIPs on a non-fat man. I'd like to think this one is better. Too tall perhaps.

564 faces. Still cleaning mesh. This one was done with a variety of ref pics, as opposed to my sad attempt at blind modelling above.

Did some moar quadifiying, and proportion changes.

Still messy, and inconsistent. It's awful ugly, but I tried some point-fer-point here.

OH MY GOD THAT'S HORRIBLE. Sorry, had to be said. Look at TDR's (or some professional) models for a reference, if you have to.

Yeah, yeah. I know.

'tis a learning process. Cleaned it up a bit, but it's still the same basic mesh.

I imagine I'll remodel this, trying to get the same proportions.

EDIT: Updated to what I hope is a more cleaned version.

How did you made that? It looks like a horrible mess. Just start with a cube and start extruding and moving stuff around like a normal person. And learn some basic anatomy beforehand.

Yeah. I dunt really know what the hell I was doing with this one.

Anyway, started cleaning it up a bit. The chest is better, no?

EDIT: Updated again. More work done on legs. 436 faces.

EDIT 2: Legs just about done. Feet still messy. 432 faces.

a bit, it's still far from being great. However, try to make it more organized, I will make you an example in a few minutes.
