GMax and .MDL Editing, weird rotations upon export?

Title should say pretty much everything.

I'm using Dex's export script through Gmax to spit out my modified models... but upon replacing their geosets, the models are all twisted or distorted, 'especially' whilst animating.

Someone wanna tell me why that is?

I never had any trouble with 3dsmax. ...Although now I haven't been able to "find" a copy of it.

I will post pictures in a moment.

EDIT: Problem has been resolved. The Dex exporter I was using was jacking things up. Switched to NeoDex and everything is just dandy.

...still got that problem with my Gmax viewports though. /growl.

My guess would be that the joints aren't zero-ed (0 degrees rot), but don't take my word for that. I only know that from Milkshape, don't know if it's the same problem.

Pictures show in WC3 Viewer, and in Gmax.

Here's a bonus question. I can pretty much only use one viewport at a time, since whenever I use the middle mouse button, the rest of the windows go black. In addition, whenever I drag to select vertices, everything goes black, everything, until I let go of my selection. It's makes the whole process a bit more tedious.

This started happening just today, and I have no idea why.
Even reinstalled gmax to no avail.

Any help is appreciated.

How would I go about fixing this?

I figured that the vertices in the geosets only affected the actual points... meaning the rest of the working model is left unhindered, bones and everything. Adjusting and replacing the vertices for the actual troll itself also leaves incredible distortions during animations. But... it doesn't make sense. Because the 'original' model works just fine.

Something must be going crazy in the export, is my only guess.

perhaps the problem with your viewports has to do with your rendering driver.

Go to Customize->Preferences then tab on Viewports and change the driver to another. Afterwards, restart gmax.
