you should use something to cover up the cliff edges, they look pretty terrible

I will add dark fog so you will not see the dumb cliff egdes, aswell as I will add dark columns. Whats up else?

Awesome, but if i remember correctly just after or before the bridge there were puddles of water. I dont know if that would be possible, but it would make it more Diablo 3 accurate in the part your are recreating.

Try using a more consistent set of doodad models. Try making things look like they aren't so randomly scaled, if it's a building, things should be more or less even (I don't mean symmetrical, just make it look like the architect was semi-sane).

I like it. It seems ruined and gives very nice atmosphere to gameplay.

are the high cliffs the only thing that is needed for creating this impression of walking over a bottomless depths? i'd be thankful if someone could explain a bit what's done to create that impression, thinking about employing that myself, so it would be really cool if someone could do that.

That's is very nice, but as void said it's abit messy for the eyes, but it's realy great :D
Can i ask you how u did this sharp cliffs?, have you used newgen?

I think the sharp cliffs are one of the worst things about it. I'd rather see you using an alpha tile and doodads for walls.

I wonder how people still manage to let this happen all the time. It's not hard to keep backups of important files or even the whole HDD.

Send your maps to reliable friends or upload it to the pastebin here once in a while. I'm sorry, I probably shouldn't care about this that much, but the last time I heard of someone's hard drive crashing it affected me (and an entire fan-base). Now I'm the one to do the whole thing from scratch again.

So please: Keep backups of your stuff!

back on topic: I think you should use a less "distinct" tile for the cliffs. Tiles featuring clear patterns look horrible when stretched. Use something more plain.
