Why, hello there folks! long time no see huh? Not really, but it's been a long time since I posted anything here...
Well, got a bit of inspiration this last weekend and finished a skin I had started a long time ago... (what a great thing to do on a saturday night, huh?)
I have decided to show you guys what I've done, hoping to receive some oh-so-loved contructive criticism... so here it is:

Zoom (requires log in)

Ingame View:
Zoom (requires log in)

He is a... geomancer or whatever, he could be just a guy with rocks attached to his skin if you'd like... anyway..

Totally freehand work
Done in Adobe® Photoshop® CS something...
Uses the Witch Doctor model

Looks nice, but what is up with the arms? and could you show an ingame screenshot?

EvilNoodle, he said that it's some sort of a geomancer\guy with rocks on his skin. I think that explains the stones on his arms. Well, I personally don't like the way you made those rocks, but I really like that blindfold, looks cool.

Absolutely right, he has rocks on his skin because he was first meant to be a geomancer (long ago, when I started his skin). Also, thank you! but could you please be a little more specific on what you didn't like on the so-called rocks? Is it the way they were painted (that makes them look like plastic =P) or the design part, like "they shouldn't be on his arms"?

Also

Thank you for the compliment, dude, and I've added an ingame screenshot.

Well, they look like metal balls\bullets... That's probably the problem.

Hmm.. you're right, they kind of look like metal...I can't do a whole lot about this, though...I think I could add a little more detail to them, but that wouldn't be even remotely noticeable ingame..

Dunno if I should take that as a compliment or if that's just sarcasm... can't really tell :p

I could try to fix it, but as I said, I don't think it'd have such an impact ingame..

Hey wow, good to see you back in the texture world :)

Looks quite good overall, the quality is superb.
My concern is that his skin lacks sufficient highlights; even dark skintones need highlights for contrast. Also, the unshaded orange patterns on the cloth just look unfinished and out of place. You could definitely do some wicked glowyhax runes and stuff there, as opposed to the flat orange.

It was a compliment, your style really resembles Erwt's.

Geomancer. Now there's a name you rarely hear. Only see Kobolds with that in there name nowadays...Good to see this though! I actually don't mind the rocks on his arms. Makes sense for a master of the elements to be "one" with the elements.

Oh yeah, I kind of rushed the skin when it was almost done, that's why those runes look awful, and that's also the reason I did not notice the lack of highlights in his skin tone, I had a skin tone pallete going and forgot to add the lighter tones as I got to them.
You're completely right, I'll work those details out whenever I'm in the mood to revisit this skin.

Yeah, it's such a cool name and all, and the possibilities for a geomancer job are endless, but I rarely see it used too.. a pity really.. also, thank you sir, you got the spirit of why I've put those damn rocks there eheh... my first thought was: "Goddamn, if he works with earth, rocks and everything alike, why not put some rocks on his arms, it could be cool, and he could punch the hell out of his foes once in a while..."

XD

Exactly. Why not have a spellcaster who can also fight in melee? (We're not talkin' in in-game terms, but in realistic terms, of course). Using the rocks to create a natural armor around his body.

Ooh...That's an idea for a spell. We need a spell developer to go after this. It would be like an autocast + 10 armor ability.
