how to make effect animations last longer

Not sure if this is the right forum section for this question - but, I want to lengthen the animation for the "ImpaleTargestDust" effect model. It's a cloud of dust that explodes and settles to the ground. I want to make the dust cloud last longer. There is only one animation included for this model, birth.

Is there a way to do it, perhaps using the War3 Model Editor?

Thanks.

Export the model, and edit the .mld file. You need to draw out the key frames - make them happen later. The animation plays at 30fps, and I suspect it makes heavy use or particle emitters, so mind the visibility track, too.

Or

you can simply create the a unit with the effect of the desired model, and set its Animation speed to a fraction using GUI -> Unit -> SetAnimationSpeed.

Thanks a lot! Both methods worked to perfection.
