Zombie Map Thingy - Terrain!

Okay, so I'm going to keep this short and bank on the fact that my reputation hopefully precedes me for this thread. I've been really frustrated by the style and obvious lack of quality of zombie survival maps around BNet and I've always wanted to work on a zombie survival style map of some kind.

In light of that, however, I just can't motivate myself to terrain the damned thing because it never ends up quite as good as I want it to be and I can only really terrain things that look like WC3, not things that look like... For instance, "modern warfare."

This is more an interest generation topic being shot out there for potentially interested terrainers of differing quality. I'm extraordinarily picky to work with, you'll probably want to punch me in the jaw at several points in our working together, but in the end you're going to appreciate the way it turned out. I bring to the table all of the skills necessary to make the entire rest of the map, and I'm going to throw out there that I've got plenty of maps attesting to my capacity to make something that doesn't suck. If you think you can handle working with me and would like to participate in developing this thing with me, toss me a PM (Or post here) and I'll throw a PM your way elaborating on my plans for the map, the atmosphere, and so on.

Yeah, speaking of that, I'm also aware that I have ample other maps I'm working on, so taking on another project is probably retarded. This is something I've always wanted to do, though, and to be perfectly fair I could probably code it in a weekend with some concentrated effort.

And yeah, I realize that this is devoid of information about the map. That's sort of the point. Anyways, let's see if all this text amounts to anything productive.

I'm very tempted to give this a shot. I'll whip up a small section, and see if I like how it looks.

EDIT: Quick little preview of what I'm working on. Just testing some ambiance/tilesets out.

I'd give this a shot. I have experience with terraining, and terraining modern stuff at that. I used to terrain for Apocalypse, if you remember that, so if needed I could go around and dig up some shots of the map which should float around the net somewhere. Besides from that I also terrained for Unsung Legends and have terrained various other stuff aswell.

Since i love zombie maps i would be happy to terrain a zombie map that would hopefully look good for once instead of all those crap looking things that exist today. But i am a man of few words and since a picture says more then a thousand words.

I'll do it.

Depends on what resources I'm working with, and what you would want me to make.

Hey, ShadowKiller, that's actually *quite* impressive the dark and gloomy atmosphere you've got going on with your samples. Let me talk to Void first, since I know he's quite a talented fellow and I think it could be enjoyable working with him, but if he isn't interested after a bit of chat then I'll definitely be talking to you about it.

You get to use Starcraft resources unavailable to the public. :p
I suppose I'll just drop the hammer and mention that when I say "Zombie Map Survival Thing" that means of that genre. I think the random undead and zombies get old after awhile, so I am going to take the entire genre by a Starcraft approach with the models used for Acathla. I have already spoken to Abriko about this, and he's given me permission to use his models for the map. Awesome, no? :)

Weren't some of the Acathla models released here? And yes, that is quite awesome.

Oh I see, so there's a lot more? That's good. But yeah, I'm willing to help. Could you send me some more info, though?

Certainly, I'll whip up a PM with some details.
