Thank you both. Hmm, the 2D moderation seems a bit slow at these days. I guess i'm not going to upload others if it's kept unmoderated. |

Stabs AR. He probably hasn't reviewed because he's only listed as a texturing moderator. I will fix this. |

Call me a jerk, but am I the only one who doesn't like these icons and find them (at least the upgrade versions) not very useful. I won't deny they have potential, jus that I don't feel they are that useful and readable in their current state. |

Also, many different racially-themed eye icons would be more interesting. I certainly wouldn't use those icons for an Undead sight-range upgrade. |

I have to say that I agree with AO here. The eye is very generic, too... Symmetric, and doesn't give you the feeling of being alive at all (figuratively, in terms of the art). It's kind of just an eye, and doesn't really feel all that cool or neat or anything. Even the upgraded forms are kind of strange, since they just stick random lenses in front of the eye and the eye itself doesn't even change. That last one, the ghostly eye, just looks like a white blob with a gray blob in it really. I certainly wouldn't approve these in their current state. |

I think the issue is a thematic one. It's a veiny disembodied eyeball, just doesn't quite scream 'sight-related ability' to me. Ok, it works in Starcraft for the Ocular Implants upgrade, but that's a whole different kettle of fish. Think about it, you could make it a gnome or goblin with multiple-lensed spectacles. The size and positioning is important too, currently it's very static and not dynamic and exciting the way other wc3 icons are. The quality is fine, it's just not as cool as it could be. |
