The concept of the area is... "Home of Firelord" he spawns in the center and the level starts... what I need help with is diffrent motives, ideas... and if some one could find related models of doodads or effects/fogs etz... anything I would be greatly thankful. here is a wip shot of it in progress if you find some thing fugly please say it now befor i get to much details in it, so painful to redo the basics then... ![]() *edit: if some one knows a good chain model, please say! ;) ![]() ![]() |

it looks good :] can i ask from where is the columns and all other doodads? i having trouble to find them,.. have you tried looking in hiveworkshop for the chains? also i suggest you go to map options or something and use lighter such as underground (wich gives a greenish look) or use black citadel.. or was it outland.. i don't remember (wich gives a hot look XD ) just try, someof them doesn't effect so try everything see what comes best. |

^I found all the doodads in Here ... and yes, I have somewhat searched hive, about that greenish dungeon look, its not what I'm after as this is some what HELL! ;) Quote:
the lava in the map is fro the dungeon water, (don't like it, and I hope some one can make a custom model for it!) ;) *edit: I was wondering if you can add transpareency to doodads in game, like, umm... so your hero/units/decoration and other stuff dosn't get hidden behind walls cus the camera has a bad angle, (whats the code, and does it work on doodads or destructibles?) ... and another problem I bumed into is that the fog isnt the same when u have unit vision in the area, it dosn't look as good as in e.g world editor. |

It's possible to make transparent doodads, but they need an additional animation that sets their transparency to nearly 100%. http://www.wc3c.net/showthread.php?t=85952 |

ok, but if you do a dummy unit, and use the doodad, I tought i saw somewhere a code for that... my first atemt at a skin, as you can see... skinning is not a talent i posses... :( ![]() the teqnique used is the one honored by many, known as the coppy/paste style /sarcasm. |

thx :], well i didn't meant to look for a greenish dungeon look in hive, what i mean is that in the world editor, go to map options , and under fog u can change lighter, changing it to black citadel or something like that can give a red hot look, try them all i don't rememebr exactly wich one, all i know that underground gives a greenish look wich help me alot :] |
