Hey guys - I haven't really explored this because I've never had two copies of warcraft and two computers to play it on at the same time, so... Is it possible to make a co-op* campaign in warcraft 3? If yes - What kind of extra triggering would be necessary? Is it doable with the GUI I already understand or would I have to offer cookies in exchange for some sort of custom scripting? Would I create a 'custom campaign', or could they all simply be custom maps that would load one after the other? Thank you very much in advance for your answers :) *i.e. a campaign with multiple players? |

You could make a co-op campaign, but it wouldn't be done as a true campaign. You could have a series of maps that one played in sequence or whenever necessary (say if you had a "Town" map) over LAN, and then loading between maps would not be accomplished through GameCache but instead with a Save/Load code. Not really that hard, actually. Just a little more clumsy than with a campaign because you can't use the campaign editor. |
