Spellbound
Race - The Witches of Ceronen
Theme - Undead/Spirits
Philosophy - Quality over Quantity

Strengths:
- Powerful Units
- Caster Units have powerful spells
- Excels at gathering gold and lumber
- Powerful Defensive Tower (when upgraded)
- Enhanced sight during the night

Weaknesses:
- Units are very expensive
- Many upgrades required to become truly powerful
- Highly dependent on resources
- Ultimate unit's health degenerates
- Reduced sight during the day

EDIT: New version. Balanced it a bit more.
EDIT2: Okay, something absolute bizarre is happening. I tried fixing it, but it could still be here. I tried increasing the interval between gold coin spawns, but if I do that, it just doesn't continue spawning. Oh well... I'll just keep that as it is then.

The Dark One
Race – Scorpions of the Flaming Sand
Theme – Sand, Venom and Fire / Scorpions
Philosophy – Plan well and have fun.

Strengths:
- Well balanced
- Perfect for ambushing enemies as it has many abilities to slow enemies down.
- Has powerful ritual.
- Has units and buildings for food production.
- Very powerful hero and very powerful ultimate unit

Weaknesses:
- Need a lot of lumber.
- Requires quick action and fast thinking.
- Has no air support.
- Ultimate unit must be summoned by the hero and lasts for two minutes only.
- Can use only one ritual at a time and they cost gold and lumber.

Info:
To choose the scorpion race you have to choose undead and set the Handicap to 90%.
Food is produced by either unearthing a poison worm egg sack or by building poison worms from the rift of venoms.
The upgrade building is the Scorpion Ziggurat.

The units that can perform rituals in the ritual pit are:
Burrowers: performs a ritual to give the ability Earthquake.
Venom Casters: performs a ritual to give the ability Acid Rain.
Flame Guards: performs a ritual to give the ability Volcano.
Sandmen: performs a ritual to give the ability Sand Storm.
Blaze Lord: perform the ritual to obtain the ability to summon the ultimate unit, Mark of Flame.

Here is my submission - The Onslaught.

The zombies are the primary dps unit of this race, and are better when produced in very large numbers.

The Oblivion Knight (hero) requires a lot of attention, due to the way she gains mana and how quickly she can use spells.

The legion is a tank, it's primary purpose is to absorb the fire that could quickly kill zombies.

The Frozen shade can pull air units to the ground.

Bone Race
To play as the Bone Race, pick as 50% handicap undead.

General Pros
  • Weak units early, powerful units late (good overall)
  • Getting the "super unit" is easier than any other race I've tested, thus giving an advantage of wrecking havoc much quicker
  • Uses corpses of slain units, thus effective even in low numbers after most of their army is gone

General Cons
  • The super unit is your ONLY WAY of expanding, only other way is making your workers get gold and run all the way back to your main
  • Because the super unit is capable of being brought in earlier on, it's obviously not as strong
  • No normal "ranged" unit (archer, rifleman, crypt fiend, headhunter). Therefore can result in air raping this race if not enough AA is made (which is frequent)

Credits in F9 (Quests) in-game.

EDITED. Changed worker's model file from Peasant to Acolyte.

Because I wasn't able to get a true version of Nationalism working, this will have to do. All upgrades are open from the very beginning as you get access to each building, as teching was done through the King's Nationalism ability. Unfortunately, it caused a very strange crash because Nationalism remained incompatible to the Pawn's Promotion abilities for reasons unknown. Since I don't have the time to figure how why, I have disabled every tech restriction due to Nationalism.

Pros
  • Pawns- or worker units, can promote into any other unit, including the Queen- provided you have the resources.
  • Pawns upgraded through Promote have NO training time.
  • More durable defensive structure (the Rook) with support capabilities.
  • Priest unit has a better version of Heal after an upgrade.
  • A stronger, more mobile siege unit (like Raiders).

Cons
  • You must wait exactly 450 seconds- or 7 minutes and 30 seconds to acquire the Queen, costing just as much as another hero.
  • In order to get another Queen if the current one dies, you must sacrifice a Pawn.
  • Unlike the Human Priest, the Chess Priest can only use Heal.
  • Nationalism doesn't work as intended (only the aura itself works).

Templar

Yay. The Templar are supposed to be a kind of martial society, valuing bravery, honor, etc. above all. To play as Templar, choose the Human race with a 50% handicap.

Well, I still can't get one ability to work, the race is overpowered, blah blah blah, but I said I'd submit *something* so here goes.

(I honestly don't know whether I'm an hour late or what - I thought I was late, but the contest ain't closed - so my apologies if this is in post-deadline)

Edit: Pah, now even later thanks to stupidity.
