Ok, I've been working the past couple days trying to discover why three maps I have created have this weird problem that causes save files to become corrupt. Meaning when you save in-game and then later try to load it will give an error msg: Save File is missing or corrupted (and then kick you to desktop). Now I did a lot of eliminating to try and figure out what could cause this. After a lot of deleting, playing a map, and saving (then loading), I narrowed it down to Quest creation. Creating quests was definetly the least likely suspect on my list, but I tested it numerous times and it was the cause. I haven't had time to test the other two maps to see if is the only cause, but I know it is the sole cause on the specific map I was altering. Can anyone offer insight as to how quests could cause a save file to be corrupted, because it obviously doesn't do the same thing for Blizzard's maps. A couple other statistics: - 5 quests: 2 required, 3 optional. All are immediate and not previously 'undiscovered'. - All use the same Ambush icon Any help is appreciated. I will test out my other maps w/o quests and see if the same result occurs. EDIT: I tested out another map, disabled the quests, and was able to save and load. It is definetly quests causing this. |

Yea, I'm having the same exact problem! If there's any way to allow a save withouth disabling quests (since that's basically the whole point on single player maps) I'd like to know it too. |

Well thanks for making a constructive reply. The question was still unanswered, so I replied. Would you rather I made a new topic? :nono: |

I hate to drag up ancient posts, but I'm having a similar issue. A map I've created crashes halfway through a load with a "memory cannot be 'read'" error. There *are* quests on the map, and my next step is to try enabling/disabling them to see what happens. In the meantime, though, has anybody heard of an error like this in the past? Does anyone have any suggestions on dealing with it? |

if i remember correctly there is a problem in loadin quest at the begining of the map, i read here somewere that an 0.5 wait can fix the problem, i tryed it in my map (i craeted 2 atached maps with joined quests) and it works perfectly sorry for the bad english. :( |
