Germanic Castle

I've been playing a lot of Age of Empires II: the Conquerors recently, and the castle of the Germanic architecture set (Teutons, Goths, Vikings and Huns) always fascinated me.
Hidden information:
It's a staggering 16x16 on the pathing system, which seems to be about the correct scale relative to AoE (though I had to cut it down height-wise to avoid really eating the texture). It weighs in at just over 400 triangles (compare this to the Cathedral, which sits bang on 300).

Please do not modify or redistribute any of these models (beyond inclusion in your project). These are a WC3C-exclusive resource, and I wish them to remain that way. If your friends want these models too, direct them here.

I'm a huge fan of Age of Empires II and yes that castle is very cool. The Castle Age Germanic barracks is very cool too, and the asian Castle. "hint" "hint"

And the different lumber camps and mills

No team color? This model sucks then!

Not really, it really is pretty cool, but I kind of wish it had it and was a little taller, even if narrower.

Alos is the lower wooden base at the entrance a bridge in the AoE original? If so, your texture there doesnt fit :P

It's just a doodad, so team colour is out of the question.

I so totally wasn't chancing it with the drawbridge, so I'll just sidle off and fix that.

I loved AoE, and this brings back memories. The only critique I have is that the texture looks really blurry compared to the AoE one, which may be due to a number of factors. The model itself is great, I just like the crispness of the AoE texture over this one.

The biggest of which is that this uses in-game textures.

well, I personally would see this far more usful as a building then a doodad, also there might be a possibility that the grass under it dosnt fit with the tileset under it. havn't actually tested but I guess you'd know if it was ;d

gj eitherway, now... Where is that fat king? he was so cool! ;)

What the...? The grass platter is a Magos' Model Editor feature. I assure you, there is no grass in the model.

Flags only occur when there are units garissonned inside. In that screenshot, I should have had about fifteen Tarkan in there.
